Delivery of full MEP services for a large-scale luxury resort on Seven Mile Beach.
Overview
Update Group is delivering the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for the Grand Hyatt Hotel & Residences, a 354-room beachfront development located on a prime site along Seven Mile Beach.
The project comprises a mix of hotel guestrooms, condo-hotel rooms and suites, supported by extensive hospitality, leisure and conference facilities designed to operate as a high-end, full-service resort.
Construction has progressed through multiple phases, with MEP installation works now in the final stages and systems integration advancing toward handover, with completion targeted for Q3 2026.
Our Scope
Update Group’s appointment covers the complete MEP scope across all guest accommodation, shared amenities and back-of-house areas, requiring close coordination with the main contractor and wider project team to maintain programme momentum on a complex live construction site.
The scale and diversity of the development required careful sequencing of installation works, rigorous interface management between systems and disciplined commissioning planning to support phased completion and final integration.
At peak activity, more than 125 operatives were working on site, reflecting the intensity of delivery and the need for strong site leadership, coordination and safety management to ensure consistent quality and programme certainty.
